What happened to valinor after the last ship sailed to it?

Nothing, it had changed/moved after Middle-Earth had become a round planat like Earth today

I think what happened was, when mordor fell Rohan, Valinor, Gondor and the shire split it into quarters for each of them. But Valinor built the Mordor Wall. Internation relations went downhill. If i remember rightly there was even a period where Valinor placed weapons in Osgiliath, The Osgiliath Missile Crisis.
