"Fall of the Jedi" - alternate title?

Bear with me as I'm new to much of ROTS - I read somewhere about "Fall of the Jedi" -- is that an early title of the movie (like when Return of the Jedi was originally going to be called Revenge of the Jedi)

Or is "Fall" a title or reference to a novel or game in the EU? (I am not familar with either novels or games)

Does anyone have an opinion if "Fall of the Jedi" would have been a better name than ROTS? When I first read the title FOTJ I liked it so much and thught it would have been a cooler name... because that's exactly what the film was all about.... the fall of the jedi... and the fall of anikan..........

I tried searching this in the threads and I couldn't find anything.

It was a speculated title.

It was a speculated title, and personally i think ROTS sounded better. Even if Fall of the Jedi might have been a better description of the movie, ROTS let you imagine what the movie might contain, and how this revenge would be exacted. (even though we all sorta knew what was gonna happen 🙁 )

Yah, the movie is about the fall of the jedi but not directly. It is more focused on the revege of the sith.

I didn't even know it was a possibility. But it sounds crappy IMO. Sounds like some 80's low budget horror/porn movie with some unknown actress in it 👇 . Plus, there wouldn't be a correlation of abbreviation between RoTJ and TCF like there is between RoTJ and RoTS 😉

Yeah on April Fools Day, they put it as the title of the movie on the OS.

Yeah its Scarecrow, you see the movie and you will understand, he is creepy as hell, even without the mask, he just looks creepy.

Um... the fall of the jedi, rise of the empire, creeping fear, ROTS I think was actually predicted as well, not highly thought up, until made official.though.

Huh, I like Rise of the Empire. I would rather the movie be connected to E5 than E6, I think 3 has much more in common with 5.

I would say stick with Revenge of the Sith because Jedi was used in another title so why use it twice.

I remember Rise of the Empire and it being the one I liked best. I actually hated the title Revenge of the Sith at first.

As my friend so eloquently put it when I told her, "Why the **** didn't they just call it Revenge of the STDs?" 😆
