Could Thor ever have a movie that's GOOD?

I fear he just isn't appealing like the Hulk or Spidey, and falls into that catagory of "good for comics, bad for tv" that strange/ghostrider and many others are in.

So, do you think there will ever be a Thor movie?

With top writers, directors, actors and budget then yes...

ultimates showed they can exist in a realistic world...

and theres a thor thread already... 😛

Oh, my bad 😮

Hopefully this will merge.

Nice wallpapers btw.

Thx again... 😮

Probably a Thor movie that'll suck tushy

I will be great. A epic if make right. Comic companies don't have much chance in making epics but Marvel has it in Thor. If they can make 3 stupid Blade movies, why not.

Exactly what he said. If it's a real big budget, the movie could be similar to Lord Of The Rings. Thor battling ancient foes like Fenrir, the Midgard Serpent, the Ulik, Surtur, etc...

A thor movie would only be any good if the sotry was set around when thor wasnt sure if he was an asgardian god or a crazy delusional human

I agree, I mean, he's really really hard to sell as a super hero, much less a movie super hero.

Strange is even worse, neither fill in any type of catagory.

Here's a list of movies that are being made or on the discussion table, or coming out soon.

Aeon Flux
Aquaman
Batman Begins
Black Panther
Captain America
Constantine 2
Crow: Wicked Prayer
Daredevil 2
Deathlok
Dr. Strange
Fantastic Four
Flash
Ghost Rider
Green Hornet
Green Lantern
Hellboy 2
Hulk 2
Iron Fist
Iron Man
Luke Cage
Namor: The Submariner
Nick Fury
Punisher 2
Shazam
Silver Surfer
Sin City 2
Spider-Man 3
Supergirl
Superman Returns
Thor
Transformers
V for Vendetta
Watchmen
Werewolf by Night
Wolverine
Wonder Woman
X-Men 3
Zorro 2

I think a Thor movie, if placed in fabled Asgard would be good. Thor flying around New York would just be hoaky. And they would have to update his, and the other Asgardians clothes to look more like ancient Viking garb, lots of armor and stuff.

Agree. The movie would be much better suited if it took place in Asgard and the other planes.

I hate to say it, but Brad Pitt would play a great Thor (6 more months in the gym).

Fabio is way too old.

I really liked the old Strange TV movie (haven't seen it since about 84 though), however Thor was a bit silly in Return of the Incredible Hulk (it was very cheap and silly though) long pig is right the ultimates angle would work well 😄

Many people have never heard of him that dont read comics. He not as well known as lets say Superman, Spiderman, or Batman(which are the most heard of comic heroes). So I doubt they would spend much time making a good movie. Plus even if they did make it good, not many people would go see a movie that they never heard of that comic book hero. And also it would most likely be a terrible movie. Heres some example of movies that were good and some that were bad.....

Good

Superman(the original movie)
Spiderman
Spiderman 2
Batman(1989 original)
Batman Begins(probally the best super hero movie)
X-men
X2

Bad

Dare Devil
Hulk
Hellboy
*Probally* The Fantastic 4
Batman & Robin
Batman Forever
Batman Returns
Catwoman
Superman 3
Superman 4
Steel
Captian America(1991)

i'd disagree with that there list... 😛

I went by the ratings of critics and fans. Every movie rated under 7 I considered bad, every movie over 7 I considered good.

Marvel adapted and changed the original myths a bit.
Thor's supposed to have red hair and beard and
Loki is Odin's adopted half-brother.
A THOR movies could be good if they focused on the mythology.
Not so much as a "comic superhero."
A good combination of the two could work.....

That viking from 13TH WARRIOR would make a good Thor!

That's exactly what I was thinking. He even talked like Thor too
