Movie characters deaths??

O.K. I don't really get into the Eu, i've read Shadows of the empire and played most if not all star wars games. I was just wondering if any of the main characters from the 6 Star Wars movies have ever died in any novels/ comics? Characters like:

Luke
Leia
Han Solo
Lando (heard he died somewhere)
C3P0
R2D2
Chewie

Chewbacca dies in the first New Jedi Order book... The rest, as far as I know, live.
