He says, "(Red Tails is) about African-American fighter pilots during World War II. They were escort fighters and the only fighter unit during the war that never lost a bomber. So they were the best." [/B

As well as Don Cheadle, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Terrance Howard. What do all these cats have in common though? They're all in their fourties and older. We can't depend on them forever, lol. That leaves like... Tyrese, Michael Jae White, Idris Alba, that black dude from Blood Diamond, a couple part-timers like Mos Def and Ludacris... the future is not bright for black actors. It's even more dreary for women. And yeah, I agree with you; the movie doesn't look all that good. I'll support it anyway though.
Someone's obviously not seen 'Blood and Bone'.

It's the same story, remade, so it's essentially a remake. What does it matter if it's based on factual events?Saving Private Ryan was 99% fictional. Great film though.
It's just their version of events with the Tuskegee Airmen. We shouldn't throw it in with the other remakes Hollywood keeps churning out, which warrants our criticism because of the high number of them.
