I just wash myself with soap and put deoderant on, works fine.

Axe does has it's quality in durability, it will be noticed for hours, and I myself find the fragrances pleasing to the nose and not over the top.
Many girls think the same, you don't need some 20 buck intoxicating aftershave, just a nice deodorant that gives you a nice, but not offencive scent
