Could Padme have brought Anakin back?

I think you misunderstand me. I don't want to change the whole story or anything. I'm just trying to follow a charater pattern.

Later on, I understand Anakin is brought away from the Dark Side by his son. His son showed him mercy and compassion.(well after he kicked his ass anyway). I'm just saying if these feelings were shown early on maybe, just maybe Padme could have turned him. But Obi-Wan spoiled it, even if it were possible.

i got the impression that vader was pretending to be anakin at that point he took off his hood and became softer So no "i have brought peace to my new empire" "your new empire"
