I think I've mentioned that I hate Fall Out Boy like 4 times in this thread. One of my recent reasons is the cover of Jawbreaker they did for Bad Scene, Everyones Fault. They ripped it to shreds and his voice just didnt fit the song, but they did make it there own which I respect, but it's still not very good. Theres an old saying I know, 'Want to know why Jawbreaker played those songs? So your band doesnt have to'
Fall Out Boy has a new album coming out Feb. 6th (US release). It's called "Infinity on High."
I've heard it and I think it's great. I really didn't know what to expect, but I've listened to the whole album multiple times and I like every track. It has more of a "soul" vibe on some of the songs and Patrick's voice sounds pretty amazing.
Say what you will about the band, but each song on the album sounds refreshing and new (as in, it sounds like I haven't heard any of it before).
They get a bad rap for the "scene" they're associated with, but damn, their new record kicks ass.

I suggest ignoring the fans like that. They usually haven't heard more than a couple songs from the band they claim to love and they give ANYONE who likes Fall Out Boy a bad name.

I know, I was just making fun of those type of fans in general.
There are fans like that for almost every band, at least your reasonable in your opinions and can spell.

Ive been listening to the new album a bit. Its about what Id expect from Fall Out Boy. Simple, catchy music. Its the type of stuff I'll probably get bored of quickly, but for now, its an enjoyable album.
But I have to say, Im getting really tired of Pete Wentz complaining about the modern music scene. He bitches about scene kids, when he himself is essentially the Hot Topic poster child. He's helped create all the things he looks down upon, particularly now that he has his Fueled By Ramen label. Fortunately, my hating him isnt enough to keep me from enjoying Fall Out Boy's work.
