Well, ABC decided to give a family a renovated house every week, and send the family off to a vacation somewhere.
This family lived in a really ghetto(x100) house; barely any plumbing, no paint, etc. The latter was because of some dumbass cheap contractor who took the money, demolished half their bathroom wall, and fled.
The people who lived in that one house were: two kids(10 and 16), A husband and wife pair, and ol' mom and dad.
The husband and wife had to move in with mom because they had no money. The reason for this was because Rodney(the husband) was shot on the street, nrealy to death; because of that incident, he was made a quadrapelegic(no feeling below waist). Before, he was a star college basketball player. His wife paid all for the operation, and stayed with him the whole time. Now, Rodney wants to get married, but he can't afford an engagement ring.
So the team from ABC went down, and made their plans big: They decided to make TWO houses: One for mom, dad, and the kids, and one for Rodney and Monique.
They sent the family to the Bahamas to relax.
However, the deadline was too short, and Ty Pennington was forced to make it another day. By late night of day seven, the entire crew was tired. To heighten their spirits, Ty played the tape of the original 9-1-1 call for when Rodney was shot, leading to a very emotional moment. after, their tiredness was forgotten.
Even more, Preston arranged for his old college friends and family to form up in the gym and give Rodney's old jersey(for a momento) a standing ovation. They showed him the tape.
Ty made another phone call.
Ty: Hey, Rodney! How's it goin'?
Rod: Great...having dinner with Monique.
Ty: Well, the hostess has a package for you. Please enjoy. And do it right!
(hangs up)
Rod: Huh?
Hostess: Here you are, sir. (hands him engagement ring)
Rod: Oh my god.....
Monique: Oh my god......
Eh, I'm tired of typing so damn much. I'm goin' for lunch.
