My mouse has a tendency to shoot off to random corners of the screen, and usually it tends to do so when I'm in the process of erasing something, leaving a nice erased stripe in the middle of whatever I'm working on 🙄

You really like using pixel stretches for coloring don't you 😛

Would a defringe work to get rid of that annoying white outline?

I discovered how to get rid of it, though it leaves the edges kind of choppy.

When you go to Save For Web, where it has the matte color? Click that and select none. Ta-da, no outline.
