Nah, we'd have superheroes without Supes. Without, say, Greek/Roman mythology (and similar pagan mythos), from which most modern superheroes were inspired by, we might be in a bit of trouble.
To say Supes is boring isn't big news. He's an icon. So if you love him, great. But if not, he's not much more than a glorified boy-scout. Now, to say GL's are boring (or DC in general) is a bit more sketchy. Supes and Batman have had the same schtick since the mid-80's. So that's understandable. But the smaller titles like Teen Titans, JSA, GL's, and Legion are cool, imo.

Ehh, I've never been a fan of anything from DC to be honest. Marvel superheros were always far more interesting to me.

I haven't gotten/read any comics in a looooooong time.
However, I always have loved X-Men, Spider-Man, and the Avengers. My brother and I have tons of those comics from when we were younger, though I have no idea where the heck any of them are.
