Functioning Lightsaber Blade

Does anyone know how to make a functioning blade for a custom lightsaber? One like a force fx or something that light will run along. Thanks

yes but 3 crystals...a lens, powersupply and casing make a light sabre... has KOTOR taugh you nothing???

to answer your question , You can do a the old torch setup but it looks like sh*t!
You need a light source that will illuminate evenly throughout the blade and for that most people use plasma, neon or fluro tubes that are normally encased in a strong polycarbonate sheath for strength although on almost all type "duelling' is not recommended.

Here is a pic of my green neon blade, it runs off two 12volt rechagable batteries and burns hell-bright!
