What happened to the Trade Federation and the rest

So in the PT we know that the TF is a very powerful organisation which effectivly runs the outer rim so combine their and the rest of the commerce guilds seccession from the republic how is it possible for the outer rim to survive wouldnt it just collapse as with the core infact as ttrade was very important to the Republic perhaps more so than the actual members.So how could the Republic fight and then when Palps had the entire CIS leadership erradicated wouldnt the trade organisations collapse and so would the Empire!

it's the empire. They are focused on one person and have only one mission: to fight a war
just like in real life, if the economy goes bad make the people focus on something else

Ápparently not, the Trade federation is not gone. It will have another leader under Imperial supervision. Thats what happens, besides you have to rebuild after a war. Everybody knows that. Palpatine wouldn't mind.

Makes you wonder why they decided not to bother using the wealth of droids at their disposal.
