I don't know. You must see Luke in ROTJ ins't as well trained as Obi-Wan. Luke has been training for what 2 years? And Obi almost his entire life. I'm going for Obi and yes he did defeat Maul. Just like he did Anakin. If people want to be stupid (Dooku in ROTS) you better be the strongest Jedi/Sith in the entire galaxy.
