Okay, so I've been going to this camp almost every year for my whole life with my family and cousins and frineds, etc., it's sort of like a resort style area near Yosemite Nat'l Park, California. There is a dammed off part of the Toualoume River where people can swim, but the snow level was so high this past Winter that they had to take the dam down and let the river flow. This meant HUGE FREAKING RAPIDS!!!!! So, of course me and cousin Tyler somehow aquired some blow up rafts that we rode down these rapids on. Rumor had it that there was a dead deer carcass downstream. As we rode our rafts down the rapids with little control, I smelled something nasty. At that moment, I remembered the story of the deer carcass, and before I could even put two and two together, I was heading right for the deer carcass. I paddled like mad and just missed having to touch the damn thing. The smell was so bad I could taste it. My cousin wasn't so lucky. He crashed into the deer carcass and had to endure touching it. Gross. Nasty.
A few days later the camp staff hosted 'The Boat Regada'. Basically they provide a bunch of art supplies and water bottles to make miniture rafts to race down the river. I made a kick ass raft and named it, 'The Deer Carcass.' I could show you a pic of it if you want me to. 馃檪

poor deer cryand 3rd.. yes post a pic you crazy fool!
Okay, they did get rid of it eventually, like half way throught he week. There were so many campers who didn't get to see it, basically it was suspended in some branches about a foot above the river, decomposing and smelling nasty. I couldn't believe there were people actually hanging out near it. You could see it's rib cage and all. I think the head was missing. So, I named my raft, The Deer Carcass, to keep the memory of the deer carcass alive. Also, it was a good conversation piece for those campers who didn't get to see the real deer carcass. Okay, I'll go get my mini raft I made and take a pic of it. Stand by.
