Lina slowly left the burning village behind. She didn't cry, she wouldn't allow herself to. She had been protecting the village for so long now. It seemed a small thing she could do for those she loved. But she had failed them. A moments diversion and it was all over. She would get back at those who had done this terrible thing. Yes indeed Lina was not one to be triffled with.

She shifted the bag to a more comfortable position on her back. It contained the few items of hers she had managed to salvage. All she knew was she'd been lured away from the village by some demon, whom she had fought. In the end he'd escaped, laughing at her meger ablities.

When she returned to the village she'd found everyone she come to trust and love dead. Brutitally murdered. And, she'd sworn revenge. She'd hear rumors of some strange girl and a half demon carrying around some sacred jewel shards, which were said to increse demonic powers. If she had those she could be stronger and have her revenge.

So she set out to find this Inuyasha person, and claim the jewel shards as her own
