"Bringing Down the House"..not with Queen Latifah

There is a book written by Ben Mezrich titled "Bringing Down the House...the story of six M.I.T students who took vegas for millions."
The book is very interesting and is a true story...ive read rumors about Kevin Spacey being in the movie and MGM having the rights to the book on this site and many others, but all the information is old...nothing from 2004+ ..has anyone heard anything about it recently??
