"Your out of your mind jackson, we need to think about this first. The monitor will be all but willing to help once he finds out our intentions. We simply need to find the location of the library." Raevynn looked over at the wounded elite. He wouldn't be able to make the journy in that condition.
"If we do this. We need to make it quick."
"Before Flood kills and eat us right?" Jackson asked "I heard master cheif found that place somewhere at the swamp if we go there then we might just have the luck" Jackson said. He turned on the radar "As you can see there is a short cut exit here but it's little bit surrounded by...you know whats" He said then he turned on another map "We need to find an exit"
"Good thinking Jackson. We need to get out unoticed so that the grunts and wounded will be able to stay in here untill we return with the index. I'll have my AI run some scans and see if he can find the location of the library. Jackson see if you can find a way out of this place." She said, walking towards the pack of grunts that had surrounded the wounded elite.
"Yes madam" Jackson said he saluted and went out of the door he looked at the map he kept on walking. "This is kind of creepy" He said he drew sub machine gun and turned on the night vision on he heard something he turned around. "Must have been a wind.." He said he kept on walking then bumped onto the big door he scanned and was an exit "I found an exit and it's a check mate"
Despite the other's disagreement, Striker continued down the hallway, looking out for any stray flood. Suddenly, an idea formed in his mind. He turned around to Rae and Jackson and said, "Wait a minute! We don't even need to risk our lives down here by going near the flood! If we damage part of halo, whether here or outside, the monitor will come and repair it! Then, we'll use him to get the index! It's genius! But Jacko, you're going to have to use your precious rockets. Rae, you and I can throw grenades around. If we damage this place, the monitor will come and teleport us to the library! The flood may hear us, but if we cause the roof to cave in, we should be relatively safe." Striker looked at them both for any sign of agreement.
((if uve beaten halo 1 you would kno that this is sorta the same way they stalled the monitor from activating halo. they destroyed the energy pylons and the monitor had to repair them before activating it. if we destroy something vital, the monitor would have to come and repair it as it awaits for someone to come and activate it. also At god, try to make the game more interesting by making something happen before you find something important. ur like "oh there's the door!"😉)
Striker pulled out his sword and cut open one of the walls of the hallway. He looked at the wires and said, "I think I've just found something!"

Raevynn quickly thought over his idea. "That's one hell of a plan you got there. But we cant damage this place. We have wounded, its too much of a risk. But if we can get outside that might just be crazy enough to work. Let's take that exit Jackson found." 116 said, canceling Gautamas work before he could point out the library's location.
Striker looked at the wires and then back to Rae. "I guess you're right, if we even do damage part of this place, it would be too much of a chance to have the flood come in. Alright Jacko, lead the way!" Striker deactivated his sword and looked at his scanner just to be sure there weren't any flood creeping up somewhere inside.
Drekken came up behind Jackson and hit him across the head then grabbed him and rammed him into a tree. "You're lucky I havent killed you yet but I swear if you mess this up I will leave you behind with the flood to do what they want with you," Drekken said and he tossed Jackson to the ground. "Take your night vision off the sun will rise soon anyway you can already see it raising over the horizon." Drekken looked at the rest of them while they just stood there looking at him. "I'm leading this you all got that I follow none now once Darekk regains his strength he will lead if you dont like it then you will die..." Drekken said with an angered look on his face. "Wistali you keep these pathetic fools in line make sure they dont try anything."
"We did not invite you to come along. We can't risk anyone else's life for this. We're just trying to find some part of halo to damage. And if you want to live then you better watch how you talk to me. Everyone else is to remain back there and hold their position until we return!" *Darrek was left to rest in the cave. Suddenly, the door opened and hundreds of Flood, Infection and Combat Forms alike, were standing outside, and all the other Covenant had disappeared! An Infection Form slowly made it's way to Darreks body. His shields weren't up yet, and he was left vulnerable. It's tentacle was less than an inch away when a small plasma shot blew it up. All the Flood looked to see a grunt. Beside it was an entire Covenant army. It snorted and sniffed, and then let out a squeal. The whole army fired at the Flood, blowing them back from the entrance. Plasma pistol, rifle, and Fuel rod cannon's fired away. A Hunter threw Darrek across his shoulder and took almost half on the Covenant armada with him, following the trail of Raevynn, Jackson, Striker, and Drekken.*
Raevynn's left eye lit up in the night and flashed a soft red as her AI noted her slight change in heart rate. She helped Jackson to his feet then approached the angry elite.
"You will not lay another claw on my squad if you know whats good for you." She said through gritted teeth "I'll be damned if im going to start taking orders from a squid face, so I suggest you get that temper of yours under control before it costs you."
Striker ignored the other's quarrels and looked up at the sky. A beam of blue light flew higher and higher into the sky until it stopped. Another one followed and then another, and another. The cycle continued while the others were oblivious to the beams. Striker muttered one word, "Damn." He turned to the others and said, "I think the prophets have landed, either that or the flood have activated a signal beacon. Maybe there is another one nearby and we can damage that so we can get the index before the prophets do!"
