((thats trippy! i was thinkin green too!))

The hunter was distracted from the mass array of battle by a glimmering green light. Bashing the head of jackel under his mighty foot, he lumbered towards the pile of ruins where striker stood. Basic synaps protocol was causing him to feel bit dizzy because he was leaving the ranks of the elite and disobeying orders. However, this hunter felt the urge and necessity too overwhelming and broke into a full sprint.

"My, my." the monitor said as a few sentinels flew over ," I am a genius." He turned to Striker and said, "Why did you destroy this structure on the installation?"
"We wanted you to take us to the index." Striker said, trying not to hint that they wanted to destroy halo.
"Well, you didn't need to destroy this. Also, the others want the index, but I'm sure you can both use it."
"The others?! Do you mean the prophets have already talked to you?!"
"Yes, but I'm sure they will need all the help they can get against the flood. I'll take you there right now."

The spartan reloaded the near empty magazine and made her way down the hill and towards the carnage below. Judging from the last Halo, this monitor would be difficult to work with.

The hunter bounded up the hill, finally reaching the crest where Striker was located. He slowed down, catching his breath and composure. He towered the Spartan and met eye to eye with the moniter. The moniter was a bit shocked by this new guest that had so quickly made it's way up the hill from the battle below. "And what have we here? You seem to be a Forerunner creation, but I don't seem to have you in my memory banks. The library should have some information on you." The hunter grunted and moved ever more closly to the monitor.

Raevynn reached Strikers position, she trotted up next to him and the hunter; which was something a bit frightening for the smaller spartan.

"We're the index's real reclaimers, take us to the library." She demanded, although being pushy was something she knew she should avoid.

"Well then." it said, "I'll take you to the library and sort this out, even though I don't know how the others will take it." The monitor teleported all of the force to the library.

Raevynn stumbled forward and nearly regurgitated as she arrived in the dimly lit room of the library.. The spartan quickly shook off the disoreintation and readied herself to move on. The place smelt horrible and strange noises filled the air.

The hunter shook off the bit of nausea itself. It tilted it's head upwards and made a sniffing motion. He shurged his shoulders to get rid of the foul stench that filled his nostrils. The spikes on his back began to twitch and it hunched and spun 180 at the same time, loading it's fuel rod within seconds. When it saw nothing behing him it pulled the fuel rod down, and opened a side compartment from the gun. What dropped to the ground was what broke the silence on the monitor's part, "Why is that a Forerunner translation device? Hmmm, it seems to be missing the second part."

"Hurry, we can't stay in one place for too long or the flood will overwhelm us."
"Quite right." said the monitor. "Follow me." It flew off down a dark hallway and Striker stayed on its tail as to not lose it.

The hunter bent down and picked up the dropped piece of metal. Careful not to break it, it placed it back in the side fuel-rod compartment, and follwed Strike as quickly as he could.

Raevynn followed as well, running slightly behind the hunter so she could cover their rear. Their footsteps echoed loudly off the tall ceiling and walls, but she swore she heard something else. Something organic. The spartan blinked and her eye lit up a soft blue as she activated her motion tracker.

The monitor stopped in front of a blast door and said, "Wait here, I must open this from the other side. Hold your position until I get back."
"Oh great." Striker looked back at the covenant force. "Keep your eyes peeled! I don't like the look of this!"

Wistali had kept quiet mostly, staying camoflouged. He sniffed the air and growled, "Something is coming... Open the door, quickly!" He knew that if they mingled any longer, they were sure to die.

Raevynn sighed and watched the green orb disapear through a small opening. Standing still like this was something that none of them were too fond about. And to make things worse Gautama biped up in alarm, his voice rang in her ears as he sounded a warning. "Im picking up movement too subtle for your motion trackers scanners. There is movement all around you. They know your-"

Before she could tell the others and before he could finish his sentance, something slammed into her gut and flung her at a nearby wall. She struggled to sit up and face her attacker, but she only managed to look up and see the blurry outline of a flood combat form. Before she could get back up, there was a loud crackle in the air as something fired a plasma weapon and it punched into her side.

"Enemy contact!" She screamed, still on the ground.

Wistali wipped around, taking out his plasma's and firing at the combat form and making it drop. He hit another one in the face and shot it and turned to see thousands, if that, running at them from all sides. "Damnit! Everyone Fire!"

Striker threw all his grenades at the swarm of flood, but they did not kill as many as he would've liked. He pushed his way to the front of the covenant force and pulled out his energy sword and shield. He slashed any flood that came within range and the elites in front followed suit by taking out their swords. "Everyone in back throw grenades! Everyone else, fire with all you've got!"

The Spartan held her side, and blood seeped through her fingers. She cursed underbreath and used her free hand to pull herself off to the side, a few meters away from the fighting. A combat form noticed the movement and charged. Raevynn sloppily unholdstered an SMG and opened fire into his chest. It took half a clip to bring him down.

By now the majority of the group had noted her exsistance and charged. She quickly unholdstered the second SMG and fired them both in unison, still sprawled on the ground, she had somewhat of an advantage.

Striker slashed a combat form that came a little too close. He had blood trickling down his armor from a number of places. Just then, the monitor came in through the blast door. "Everybody get through!" As the covenant force retreated throught the doors, dead bodies laying everywhere, sentinels came in and opened fire on the flood. Striker pushed the last few covenant through the door and saw Rae out of the corner of his eye. Seeing her on her side, he helped her up after killing the flood around her. He threw her over his shoulder and said, "Watch my back!" A sentinel fell nearby and Striker needed no second bidding to get through the door. When everyone was through, the monitor closed the door and said, "Boy, that was close. Follow me." he hummed as he started off.
"Wait!" yelled Striker. He slowly put Rae down and looked at her wound.

The hunter quickly made his towards Reavynn, he bellowed to a small group of medic grunts, and they rushed over to treat Reavynn.
