Lightsabers Could Be Real

Lightsabers could be Real many people try to consruct them but they fail. With the advanced Technology we have now they could exist. But I am sure if they were real they would not want Die Hard Star Wars Fans to own one and walking down the street with one.

Are you asking if it is possible to one day create a sword that can cut through almost anything. Yes I believe so. Are asking if that the cops will let Die Hard Star Wars Fans to own and walking down the street with one. No they will never let that happen.

😬

not another "LIGHTSABERS ARE POSSIBLE" thread
now we just have to wait for a first-semester physics major
to come in and start explaining HOW its possible,
and then we can all point and laugh

Well Lightsabers are enery beans that can cut through almost anything. To build one we must first construct a hilt. Then we must find a way to put a Massive Power Sorce into this Hilt. That is where the possibility of Nuclear Power is comes in. We must then find a way ro transport this power into the form of a beam.

ok, im going to assume you are being sarcastic and offer you this: lol

I am being Sarcastic. 😄

Good

keep in mind that there are some who have offered a similar response,
and actually believed what they were saying. here's a classic example:

Oh dear…Okay, I’m joining this group to set a few things strait. You don’t have to listen to me I don’t suppose, because I’m not a expert on star wars, but I’m a big fan and I don’t have a phd in physics, but I’m working on it. First a little pet peeve, yes lightsabers do cut and are made of energy…but Light DOES cut, high intensity beams of light (lasers) do cut, and it is the cutting in part that generates the heat and not the heat that does the cutting (that is the reason they burn some materials, but cut others). Now, lightsabers underwater, a lightsaber’s blade is made of pure energy (presumably in the form of electrical plasma) focused by a crystal and buffered in an electromagnetic containment field being emitted from the magnetic projection plate. For standard use it is being used in a low density environment (air), and in this environment it generates no heat, therefore expending no energy, and losing no charge. If it were being used in a high density environment (water) a simple modification of lowering the cycling rate of the blade (how often the energy completes a circuit) and increasing the electromagnetic field strength would compensate for the density difference and enable use of the weapon. This is of course assuming that basic physics applies to lightsaber operation as modified in this way!

Believed but still posted a load of waffle.

It would be a laugh though, there´d be loads of secret Light saber duels going on.

but the sad thing is everyone could be killin everyone in duels

no thats impossible

u guys r messedup the only way a lightsabre could work is if there was a handle on the other end wich wouldn't be a lightsabre now would it? so it's not possible and if you belive in lightsaber crystals witch do not exists cause star wars is a movie!!!!!!!!!

A lightsaber will never be possible, first off, how would you make a beam of light that extends only so far? Light is infinate and would continue in a beam until it lost power, much more than 3 feet.

Seconly, this thread has nothing to do with Episode III, I would move it, but there are some "Lightsabers Are Possible" threads in the EU forum.

Closing.
