I think the whole "watching" thing stems from some females and males finding it arousing that people quite obviously can see, but try not to look.

Never quite understood it but whatever spices your curry I guess.

I've mostly had my experiences outdoor (meaning out of a house) and yet, haven't ever been caught...hardly.

Just gotta be cautious. Or not, if that's your thang.
