Hmmmm....SP Hype is a beast, but I dunno man. I'm gonna have to wait for his mini when he actually fights more super powered baddies to decide.

If I had to choose now, I'd say Thor wins--mainly because he beat an experienced Hype who had been adventuring for years.

Supreme Power Hyperion would beat reg. Thor
Ultimate Thor would beat reg. Hyperion
Ultimate Thor and Supreme Power Hyperion would make a great match-up

...616 Thor is more powerful than Ultimate Thor. 616 is more powerful than the Ultimate U in general.
Ultimate Thor can't beat regular Hype--he got his ass kicked by Colossus, and Hulk and normal Hype could whoop Ultimate Colossus.

Ultimate Thor and SP Hype may or may not be a good matchup...because if Hype knows about Thor's belt, Thor is screwed.

I mean, he battled this dude twice, a superman like him shouldve realized that !!

I just really like the Ultimate Thor character better. He has more personalty. Plus he's not dead! Also, I believe Supreme Power is basically another Ultimate Marvel Title!

Yeah, SP is basically an Ultimate version of the Supremeverse...too bad it's not gonna be MAX anymore...

Oh and Supreme Power is gonna be in the 616 Marvel Universe. I don't understand it, but wasn't Squadron Supreme already in 616?

How is SP gonna be in the 616? Are they all going to shift dimensions or something? I don't think they will be in the 616, they are just going to have a "teen and up" title instead of an adult title. Or did I miss something?

Anyways,SS was in thier own universe (the Supremeverse), then they had a "crisis" 🙄 and were shunted into the 616.

They had a couple of adventures, most notably battling the recently returned Avengers twice(who had just come back due to Heroes Reborn). They claimed that the Avengers were impostors, but it was revealed that the SS was under the Corruptor's mental control.

Later, in the Avengers/SS '98 annual issue ( these stories are collected in the Avengers: Supreme Justice TPB) they used Ulysses Champion's machine to travel back to their own universe. Only Haywire stayed behind.

Supreme Power is going to turn into a Marvel Knights comic. How could that not be in the 616 universe?

MK isn't the 616.

It's just an imprint who's titles Marvel lables in/out of continuity when it suits them. IF SP DOES become a bonafied 616 title, I'll be happy...but I doubt it will.

I really hope they keep the same artist. It'd really ruin the series if the artist was changed. The realistic art almost defines the series

Yeah, Gary Frank's stuff is great, but they could easily replace him with McNiven if they HAD to. I hope Frank stays on for as long as JMS is writing though.

Id go for Thor. SP Hype is very inexperienced. Look what happened when he came across another superstrong powerhouse in the comic. He won but it wasnt easy for him.
