Jess was sitting at her kitchen table, drinking some tea and reading a book. It was 11:00 in the morning and she still had to finish her costume for that night, as it was Halloween.
It was dark in the room, except in one place, Jess was reading and she had a little lamp switched on low. Justin stayed in the dark corner, beside her bed. He was staring at her, he liked her a lot, but how could someone like a vampire? Humans don't know what its like to be a vampire, to be cursed with an unquenchable thirst for blood. To be hated and thought of as beings of evil. His face filled with happiness for finding someone he loved turned to a hate at the thought of a human finding out about them and taking her away. His hand that was clutched around her bed post tightened and the wood splintered as the sound of breaking wood filled the room. When he realized what he was doing he let go and backed into the corner.
