Sam realized what happened just as Death caught his neck in a vice like grip. "Damn it... James... you coward." Sam said as he struggled to draw his swords, but Death simply took them and tossed them away.
Death was no longer interested in negotiation. "I will let you friends go, but you will die... you can thank you ninja friend when you see him in hell... and I promise that is where I'm sending him as soon as he is found." Death said as he reached his hand up to strike it through Sam's chest.
Sam realized he had no choice, he was ready for the ultimate sacrifice. Sam was ready to die for his friends. "Go on! Do it then!" Sam shouted, letting the last of the air out of his lungs.
Death's hand was swift as it plunged into Sam's chest and crushed the life out of his heart. Sam went limp in death's hand. Death tossed Sam's body to the floor. "Now leave and never return." Death said before looking down at Lance. "I will call Balder back, he will be quite harmless as soon as he learns what happened here." Death told Lance, implying that he should tell Balder that Sam had died.
Ichigo nodded at Tom. As he began to charge up his Javelins. Then suddenly a blast of thunder and water slammed down from the sky. It wrapped around the Javelins. Ichigo held it tightly as the thunder and water formed together on the Javelins. Ichigo took of at Lightning speed at Balder holding his Javelins in the air.

(I know you don't drink maple syrup like water, I was only kidding about that. 😄 But I digress, you can't bust into the underworld, it's not like it's some secret warehouse that you can just sneak a bunch of people into. Sam got the group into the underworld and Death (A.K.A. Loki) sent them back. You and the shield agent are just going to have to do something else for a while. As for Sam, you will see what I have planned later.)
Balder heard what Sam said and suddenly turned into a much smaller frailer man. He ducked to avoid Ichigo's attack but was knocked down when one of the javelins grazed his shoulder. Thor went to pick his brother up and brush him off. "Thor? What happened here... why are you hurt?" Balder asked, sounding concerned for the health of all of the warriors.
Thor smiled and patted his brother on the shoulder. "You sound like your old self little brother." Thor said cheerfully.
Balder looked around and took a deep breath and all of the damaged property was repaired, as Balder breathed out all of the heroes who fought were healed. Balder looked up at the undead soldiers still lingering in the sky and sent them back to where they came from. Balder looked down. "I'm not supposed to be here... I'm glad I got to see you brother." Balder said before he faded away.
Tom looked around at the others. "I'm I the only one who thought that was a little weird?"
