Sam stood and watched the others talking but wasn't really listening. "What the hell am I doing? These are my friends, I should be working with them... that's the whole reason I started training." Sam thought to himself as he calmed down. Sam tried to fly away to find someone to talk to, but he felt a powerful urge to attack the nearest person to him. "Wh... what the..." Sam thought as he tried to stop himself from curling his hand into a fist and flying at Jordan.
Kel plummeted from the sky with blinding speed and tackled Sam to the ground. "Is that how you plan to thank your friend Sam? They were trying to help you and you go and attack them, that's pretty low." Kel said as he struggled to restrain Sam.
Tom showed up to see what was going on. "I can't turn my back for five minutes without this whole place falling into chaos." Tom said as he walked closer to Sam and Kel. "Hey... wait a minute." Tom said quietly as he looked into Sam's eyes. "You're trying to fight against this aren't you... Hold still." Tom said as he focused energy into his hand and focused it around Sam's head. Sam struggled harder as Tom found the problem and focused his energy into his index finger. "I know what I'm doing... but this still might sting a bit." Tom said as he sent the energy through Sam's temple. Sam stopped struggling and went limp, Tom quickly started shaking Sam. "Uh oh... I hope that wasn't too much energy." Tom said as he tried to wake Sam up.
Sam snapped to attention and pushed Tom away. "Are you trying to kill me? What did you do that for?" Sam asked as he felt where Tom's energy had burned.
Tom stood up. "Nothing to out of the ordinary... for us at least." Tom said as he looked around at the whole group. "There was some kind of microchip in your brain that caused your body to produce extra chemicals... mostly testosterone and adrenalin. All of the extra hormones caused a rapid and violent change in mode, you became much more aggressive. All of these emotions must have enabled the chip to take control of your body and force you to fight even when you didn't want to." Tom explained.
Sam was a little surprised by what Tom had told him. "Wow... that's a little hard to believe... how did a microchip get into my head?" Sam asked, Tom only raised his shoulders to show that he didn't have clue. Sam looked around at the others. "I... I'm sorry... I didn't mean to attack any of you." Sam said as he bowed to his friends. Sam turned to Janet and Jordan. "Thank you for helping... we would probably still be fighting if you hadn't come along to stop us." Sam said as he bowed to both of them.
