Meanwhile star and nova doing what they thought blinded the aliens but was of no use
"Simon, would you just listen to what I'm saying," Ben screamed at his friend. He was spending a lot of time just trying to convince Simon to bring back the students that he took to the Shadow Lands when he first found out about the alien threat.
"You don't seem to understand that the battle that's going on right now is a losing one for our guys, Ben!"
"And how do you know that? You're hiding out in the Shadow Lands!"
"Look," Simon replied, clearly tensed, "How about I just send you back and be done with it. I'm not keeping these kids here against their will, they wanted to come and you and the rest of the Heroes know that."
"Fine. But when this is all over, you're going to have to answer to Janet and the others eventually."
"I know," Simon said as he sent Benjamin back to Earth realm in the midst of the battle.
"Damn fool," Ben said when he arrived back on earth. A extremely hostile looking creature ran towards him when he turned to survey the battle. He tossed a sonic ring at it and it the creature barely flinched.
What the hell, Ben thought to himself as he ducked and dodged the alien's attacks. He had to be quick on his feet and in his mind to get away from this thing, but it wasn't giving Ben a lot of opportunities to do so. Ben aimed a sonic ring at the ground and was sent into the air, sending a huge chunk of earth hurling towards the alien and then crushing it.
He landed with a thud by Andrew and said, "My sonic rings don't work on these things! How do we get rid of them?"

Ben ran towards James while dodging several on coming attacks from the creatures that now made Ben virtually useless in battle.
"James, I need you to-..." Ben was knocked down by a ship exploding right before he could finish his sentence. He got up just in time to see that an alien had him in it's line of sight as it shot some sort of projectile at him. "Maybe my rings don't work on you, but I'm pretty sure that they work on everything else," Ben muttered as he sent a sonic ring at the projectile. It disintegrated in the air just before if hit Ben in his eye.
He ran over to James and said, "I'm going to have to help you with the explosives because for some reason, my powers don't work on these aliens. Not even my new concussion rings. What do you want me to do?"
*Well Ben just becuase your powers won't work on them you can use them on other things to effect them*
