Plo Koon Rulez!
Well, Wikipedia seems okay for fact, but it's determining fact from fiction that is the hard part. Let me put it to you this way- Wikipedia is built up from patron submissions, meaning anyone can submit a suggestion to edit an article. Now, since I first posted the Wikipedia site link some three months ago (And yes, I was the original sinner, but I have repented) the articles have grown to include mostly opinionated, biased assumptions and have only grown to make this subforum unbearable. The little bit I pulled up on tulak Hord was NOT in the database when I posted the link here three months ago. How do I know that? I read EVERYTHING on that site regarding the topics here. Everything. And there was no mention of Juyo with Hord, or any of that crap. And to top that off, Darth Revan is in the top six searches for the site! So I'm of the mind that people from here have been bombarding Wikipedia with suggestions and articles are changing because of it. If Wikipedia becomes an extension of the factions here, it should be disallowed as a source altogether unless it can be backed by another source (Meaning, in essence, it isn't needed anyways). Even if, by some miracle, no one from here had a hand in the new editing, the site should still be disallowed. Why? Like I said, it's hard for people to separate fact from assumption. If you're not well-read enough and you feel the need to look up a character or something CROSS REFERENCE IT! If you don't understand what that means, I'll tell you: If you read something and you believe it is fact, double, hell... triple check it with other sources. And make them reliable ones, like EU novels, interviews with Lucas, Starwars.com or something.
And for my next complaint: ENOUGH WITH THE EVERYONE VERSUS REVAN THREADS!
I've already been wedged into the pro-Revan faction already, so I doubt anyone will take me seriously, but my reasoning is this:
We don't make Everyone and their mother versus NJO Luke. We don't make half a dozen unbalanced threads regarding someone we know to be Revan's peer and another who is his better versus him in a room where he starts in quicksand with a handbag in one hand and a snake in the other and expect results. Seriously, there needs to be a sorting here of the grain from the chaff, because the threads being made lately are all a rehash of the same bullshit.
