Shadow shares every ability of Sonic, meaning that they are truly rivals. The only reason Sonic is known as the fastest hedgehog is because the Blue Blur has broken the sound barrier before, something Shadow has yet to accomplish. His light trail is gold instead of blue. Why it isn't black, no one knows.

Reread my post, I said take away his speed, and he loses. Sonic isn't that great of a fighter.
Sonic travels faster then a jet. An arrow wouldn't be able to touch him. Sonic's lightspeed attack would be too fast for Link to counter. Shadow Link doesn't freeze time he freezes Link cause Navi is still movin. SL only froze Link because Link had a lock on him with Navi. Shadow can freeze time shown in Sonic Adventure 2: Battles and Sonic Heroes for 10 seconds. By that time Shadow would have defeated Shadow Link and/or Link. And Link wouldn't be able to play that OoT because he will be frozen. And Link cannot use the OoT in boss battles as seen in OoT and MM. Sonic is able to break through a sound barrier. Link needs weapons. Sonic uses his speed to win. Why can't Link use his strength or speed? Even Mario doesn't use weapons. Shadow's Chaos Blast is a techinque greater then any other expect for Chaos Control or transform because Shadow unleashed the full power of a Chaos Emerald and whips out all enemies around him. And a Chaos Spear also uses a Chaos Emerald's power and Shadow's inner power so a Light Arrow will only be destroyed along with the Chaos Spear and the Light Arrow can only hurt people that are evil. Shadow is not evil his mind was messed with by Professor Gerald but Amy reminded him about the past. Not to mention that Super Sonic's power is unequal expect to Super Shadow and Perfect Chaos because they too used the Chaos Emeralds. Super Sonic only used half of the Chaos Emeralds' true power in SA, SA1, and SH.

Super Sonic is far greater in speed then normal Sonic who would be able to break the sound barrier in a flash. Sonic is a great fighter. He defeated Knuckles in a one on one battle in Sonic: The Fighter and Sonic Battle along with Rouge, Gizoid, and a bunch of other baddies. And the Master Sword can cut through anything. It didn't against an iron knuckle. You had to attack it from behind. And the Master Sword never kills Ganon. All the times Link killed Ganon he used a Sliver Arrow. And the Light and Silver Arrows only hurt those that are evil. Niether Sonic or Shadow or evil. And Link needed the Master Sword to defeat Ganondorf. Take away the Master Sword and Link would have never won the fights...expect Four Swords Adventures. Sonic defeats Eggman over and over again and only became Super Sonic to battle Eggman was when he went into Outer Space to run.

Sonic doesn't move lightspeed, he doesn't move mach 1000, he broke the sound barrier, he moves the speed of sound.
He can't fight, if a bomb were to go off, or his speed was exploited, he loses.

He trained with Knuckles to be a fighter and even trained more with Gizoid who copied everyone's moves but was defeated by Sonic even when the Gizoid had all 7 Chaos Emeralds. Sonic does fight well. All those attacks like homing attack, lightspeed attack, spin dash, and sonic wind are fighting moves Sonic taught himself. Strength isn't the only part of fighting...so is speed and knowledge. Just cause Sonic isn't a pussy and doesn't use a sword doesn't mean he doesn't know how to fight.

I fight everyday and train everyday.
Fighting SKILLFULLY is about POWER, speed, and knowledge and tactics of vital zones.
If I can exert 60% of my power faster and for longer periods of time, than I am better off than someone who exerts 90% of their strength, for an instant and wears out.
Sonic gets hit once he loses, moving that fast on a hit makes him take more damage.
SOnic knows little about vital spots and relies on his speed to win, which is fine, but not invincible. He has to start htat speed out, he doesn't just get it right in the beginning like that.
Sonic is an inferior fighter, who was mutated to get his speed, stop trying to change that.
If thats the case then sonic dies quickly, with no rings.
well you're using sonic with all of his power from all of his adventures and well how bout this make the odd equal either have sonic from 1 game like link and shadow from 1 game. or bring link up to they're level say link with all of his weapons power and abilitleis from Oot and MM cause right now its like saying Ragnos vs ROTJ luke.
