Whats more impartant for a job? Money or Enjoyment of it?

I was just reading some threads and it occurred that many people go to college for careers that pay lots of money, then wake up and are so unhappy with what they're doing.....Would it be better to make less, and enjoy your life, or make more money and be unhappy with what you chose?.....For me it's not the money.....It's enjoyment of it.

Well, first of all, what do you do?

mixture would be best.

No use doing a job you like if you can´t live on the money.

No good doing a job you hate, becoming ill, anti social and dieing early due to stress even if you´ve got loads of money.

Be good at what you do best and enjoy and try to use it to your advantage.

Truthfully both, I work in academia and I love my job, but I also love the fact I am quite well paid. I had a boss I hated once and this is post graduate entry. professional work. So your colleagues are important😄

Considering that I'm Denzel Washington and I have been using "botankus" is my pseudonym for this message board, I'd say I've been doing quite well. 😄

Whats more important for a job? Money or Enjoyment of it?

I've done a lot of things in my life and without a doubt, enjoyment is something that can not be bought. I could make a lot more money if I moved to a big city like Seattle, but I love living here in southern Oregon.

You can't pay the bills with contentment in your job, so......?

I would enjoy any job if the money is right.

Enjoyment, most deffinitivly.

Yeah I quit a couple of times before from jobs to take on a job that was a much lower paying job because it was a much more enjoyable job that I liked than what I had.

It's all about the money. I think it would be easier to enjoy your job if you got to enjoy a nice paycheck with it. But, then again, I'm not one of those optimistic people who thinks that as long as I enjoy my job and do something fulfilling. I'd rather have a shitty job that allows me to enjoy life outside of work, than the opposite.

Money first and foremost, then later you can go for enjoyment

A shitty job that pays good is one that takes all of your personal time and just about kills you, like grab fishing. A job that leaves your personal time alone and is fun to do but just pays the bill + will allow you to live longer.

This is very true 😄 People learn this as they get older and have more responsibility, its not something you can tell someone just starting work😄 Its like the matrix they have to find out for themselves😄

I think that said it all (or not). 😆

Enjoyment.

Money makes enjoyment for me, so I would rather have a job that you get a lot of money, then enjoyment.

Enjoyment.. definitely

the jobs that pay better (unless you are a celebrity or something 😛) are the ones that are mundane, monotonius, unimaginitive and filled with jerks for the most part.. i am sure there are exceptions but they are few & far between..

you cant put a price on being happy

In my life I much rather be happy then the richest in the world. After you die you cant take anything except your memories (I guess) with you.
