i dont find fans of larger characters e.g. hulk, supes, surfer and so on to be that obnoxious, because usually their favourites can back up most claims...
sure there are times when they go overboard, thats expected...
its when people rate smaller characters e.g. x-men other than phoenix against true powerhouses that it pisses me off...

Yea those characters have power, but I saw one guy defend Hulk against the entire JLA.
