Sif vs Big Barda

Powers: Sif possesses the conventional attributes of an Asgardian women ("goddess"😉. Like all Asgardians, she is extremely long-lived (although not immortal like the Olympians), superhumanly strong (the average Asgardian female can lift about 25 tons; Sif can lift 30 tons) immune to all diseases, and resistant to conventional injury. (Asgardian flesh and bone is about 3 times as dense as similar human tissue, contributing to all Asgardians' superhuman strength and weight.) Sif's Asgardian metabolism gives her far greater than human endurance during all physical activities. Sif has extensive training in unarmed combat as well as swordsmanship. Her natural fighting ability is only surpassed among Asgardian women by Brunnhilda the Valkyrie.
Personal Weaponry: Sif wields a special sword enchanted by Odin to enable her to "cleave" passageways between dimensions (primarily Asgard and Earth) by a special pattern of swinging motions

Super Strength: Barda's super strength comes from her heritage as a member of New Genesis, where all of the people of that realm are genetically superior to normal humans in their physical characteristics. She was later augmented by Darkseid to further increase her strength and stamina twenty-fold. Barda's strength is nearly on the order of Wonder Woman's lifting weights weighing nearly fifty tons.

Endurance/Stamina: Barda's superhuman endurance has been trained by being a dog soldier of Apokolips and later the leader of the Female Furies. Barda's physiology allows her to process her biological wastes more efficently and as such can function at her peak efficiency for a much longer time than a normal human. With her advanced combat training, she is superior to even members of the New Gods who have not received such training.

Weapons and Tools:The Mega-Rod: Barda's signature weapon, no other has ever been seen. Its origin is unknown, and its powers are vast and numerous. It's primary ability is to project energy (of an unknown nature and origin) against whatever Barda hits with the Mega-Rod. The amount of damage able to be done has been sufficient to demolish an entire building.

Bleh. Barda is class 50+ (I thought she was stronger but meh), is damn skilled and has access to New God/Apokoliptian tech. Sif is a kick ass class 30 fighter and has... a sword. Yeah. I'm thinking Barda takes this.

That sword...is purdy tough though. It can cut stuff....and shave things...good for peeling apples of any size...

I agree. Barda is stronger and since Sif doesnt carry Dragonfang as her own weapon usually she also has a better weapon.

It's the skill and determination of the individual that counts, not the weapon. Even with her regular sword, I'd go with Sif. Barda is no pushover, but still...

In one issue of Mighty Thor, she's fighting against Masterson - Thor's powers have been stripped from him and she believes that Thor is dead, so she's trying to kill Masterson for assuming his likeness.

She's knocking him about a bit, but he's still managing to hang in there against her.

And he's just a human! 😄

She has the Mega-rod. With that she fights herald-levellers on many occasions.

Barda really handles this one solidly. I believe she's the more skilled, and she's definitely the way more powerful.

More skilled no. Sif is a Shield Maiden, it's in her job description to train in deadly combat every day for hours, and she's been doing this daily for thousands of years.

Sif is very fast, and very strong. If she were to hit Barda, which is very likely, she would cut her in two. The same I'm sure can be said of Barda. This one would go to the most skilled.

I think Sif has Barda's number in this one.
