His weapon x, took away his memory, so he doesn't know who he is, he was trained, to kill people, with out emotion, and gave false memory, so he can't trust his own memory. Then he turns berserk, and looses control, like an animal. He found out hes married, to some one but doesn't know who. He loves jean but can't get her, but will die for her. He out lived every one he watched every one die, because of his long life, and then when he met the xmen, he had hope, but he out lived them, too and see charles die, so he cant get close. Theres more.

Everybody tortured person have different pasts...but they still have tortured pasts. There aren't many superheroes that don't have tortured pasts. Now, he is somewhat interesting character, and I enjoy some of his stories, but the point is, that he is interesting, not unique.
