Halle Berry

She's been OK in dramatic roles. Saw she was nominated for a Golden Globe for playing a strung-out and estranged wife for the ump-teenth time.

I quite liked the performance she gave in Gothika. But unfortunately, everytime I think Halle Berry, I think Storm from The X-Men. And that performance IMO sucked big time.

In Gothika, she was OK but one thing that really bugged me (and it's more of the screenwriter's fault) was how easily she got over her dead husband. His death erased from her conscious in 30, 40 seconds, tops?

If my significant other died, I'd need at least a good five minutes to huddle in the corner and cry. Then, I'd be right out on the streets solving the mystery, as expected.

True!

Anyway, I'm feeling generous, so I'm posting a pic for her fans.........

I guess you weren't being too generous - the picture never showed up! 😛

Not really. Every time she spoke in Gothika I just wanted to strangle her... maybe if she was mute in the movie I would've enjoyed it.

Their Eyes were watching God, well I absolutley hated the movie so my thoughts on how her acting was in that movie might be a little biased.
I also saw her in "The rich man's wife" and the movie was good but she.. Her lack of acting skills aren't the only thing that annoy me about her.

I'll say one good thing about her though, she's hot.

I find it funny with some of these people's baseless dislikes of Halle Berry's acting skills.

I mean, she didn't win an Academy award for nothing. How many times must I say that.

She's a great actress and maybe some people are just hating b/c she's black, I don't know. And please don't start listing "black" actors/actresses that you do like if there are any that you like.

is it comprehensible.....

😂 Nice to have people like you in our world.

I like Halle and all, but she didn't deserve the Oscar.

It's a shame the Academy overlooked her and her Big Momma friend in B.A.P.S.

okay........

is it comprehensible.....

Not to put anything in favor of Ms. Basinger, but when we're talking Oscars, I believe L.A. Confidential might have just an ounce more credibility than the classic B.A.P.S.

She's my favourite actress... of course not because she's hot. I'm not a lesbian...
She won the oscar for "Monster's Ball" and she *did* deserve it!
And I just love the color of her skin!

okay......do any of your post have a point, b/c I'm not following them.

Uh ignorance bothers me so 😐
Like what are we five? You can't give me a valid reason why she deserved it? That's just proof that she didn't.

Yes...you don't see Meryl Streep or Jodie Foster doing movies like B.A.P.S.!

😮 I may be making myself sound rather stupid here....................

Was B.A.P.S an actual film or are you referring to the gratuitous baps shot featured in Swordfish?

B.A.P.S. was a 1997 film directed by Robert Townsend (though he was great in Hollywood Shuffle) that got worse than F-minuses by critics. That may have been the movie that ended the Siskel & Ebert era, for I remember that they hated it so bad.

If you imdb.com it, it's there.

Cool beans. I'll go have a look.

Halle berry , well i was laughing when i seen her crying winning a Oscar i think couple years ago.

She said she fought so hard to get where she was at. 🙄

I think someone else was crying too, but i dont remember her name. She married the country singer, then i think 6 months later, they separated. 😂
