Excuse me? How dare you put the chimp comment down to racism? The colour of her skin has nothing to do with the observation. I think that Denise Richards and Victoria Beckham look like chimpanzees on occasion and they are both white.

agreed.... nobody here was being racist or mentioned the colour of her skin. nobody was judging the chimpish-look by the colour of her skin. the last thing i'd ever be is a racist.

O.K. everybody calm down. Did I call you a racist? NO. I said "As for the people who think she looks like a chimp, that's equally stupid if not a little racist." which means that it could be construed as(not that it is) a racist comment. If no one has ever heard racist organizations or people calling black people monkeys, apes or chimps, then you either have not been exposed to much racism, or you have your head in the sand. It is a racial insult/stereotype that has been around since (and probably before) slavery.
Though your comment may not have been intended so, that does not mean that observation may not be taken as racist. Yes it may be a misunderstanding, but it occurs on both parties, mine for not being clear, yours for not being aware of a racial slur that is over 100 years old.

Actually, I am WELL aware of that slur. I, unlike some people, do not keep my head in the sand. I would, however, as a regular poster on this forum, expect the other posters who have communicated with me in the past to know that I do NOT make a habit of going around making offensive comments that are racist, sexist or in any way not in line with Equal Opportunities. I also would not make a habit of being stereotypical.
I do NOT like Halle Berry. I don't think she can act to save her life. I think she is only offered roles because of her status as eyecandy.
I do, however think that she is an extremely attractive woman. But I do find that there is something odd about her nose. It is her nose in the aforementioned photograph, that IMO makes her look like a chimpanzee. I could offer another screenshot that has the same effect on me, but due to the fact that I do not want to be compared to the KKK, I think I shall keep it to myself.
