Found out yesterday.....she should've tried to have a baby when she was a bit younger, now there's more of a risk of the child having defects.

fear

but what makes you think she was allowed to when she was younger? these entertainers are always pulled in relationships based on the fan's opinion...

I for one am glad Halle is finally having a child. She has every right to get pregnant and become a mother. Her age doesn't matter being that women 20 years older than Halle are having healthy babes.

"ALLOWED"????

Who would have stopped her????

"Pulled into relationships based on fans' opinions"???????

So her fans chose her boyfriend for her and let her get pregnant????

Either you have an odd way of saying things or you're just wrong.

sorry that this is about race (BUT when i say "race" i really mean CULTURE, not every AA/black/colored person practices this kind of thinkg, and they aren't the ones in that culture, so this is geared to the ones who are very much hard core in that particular culture/mantra.

try to understand the female mind and how they think among each other, esp. in terms of "race".

women treat these entertainers as their princes Diana, and that female or entertainer basically has no choice, she goes by whatever the public says, if the females who admire her want to see a woman like her with a baseball player, guess who she's going to date? but, her image is based on both female and male fans (keep in mind, when i say "argument" i really mean, a fad based on an census (by women) about a particular look of a man or class of a man or race of a man.

(this is partially going to be related to race and how ppl view things, and that means black men as well).... when she started dating a white guy, i heard plenty males who aren't white, express their disdain for her...that was about 3 year ago, now that she's old or older, they don't care, but if she would have met him in an earlier time in her life, she would have received a lot of problems for dating him without dating a black guy first, b/c that would seem like she's racist, see how that works? and it's not only her, most women are under this constraint, but esp. the entertainers....

when she was still sought as a sexual rival, and she dated a white guy, she would have been in a social war.

1980s????: mixed male and mixed female

she first had to date someone who was from a multi-racial background (Justin ???, played for the Braves)...

early 1990s???: dark men and light/mixed women

then, there was a big social argument among AA/black/colored women to date dark men, as Westley Snipps complained that AA/black/colored women didn't date him, so she was "gifted" to him, and she dated him as a way for the public to show the world that they (those in THAT CULTURE) accept this kind of arrangement and THEY (THOSE IN THAT CULTURE) aren't discriminate about the darkness of skin tone. he beat her so bad she lost hearing in her ear, that has nothing to do with his skin tone, but everything to do with his character. she stayed as long as she could, but was beaten up a lot.

then, she gave up on dating and expressed in many magazines that she was taking a break.

late 1990s??: rasta/hood men and the "educated" woman

black/aa/colored women were now starting to be "open" up to Jamaican or "hoodish" or "rasta/artistic" kind of look or styled men, and so, she was now part of the public display of that kind of acceptance, and she married a singer (who looks exactly like the kind of argument made in addressing this enlightened version of "acceptance"😉

she expressed that she wanted a baby (i think she adopted), but i think her male fans would think of her differently if she was a mother....her husband went in and out of sex therapy b/c he was addicted to sex....she divorced him...and didn't date for awhile....

and when you see her with the man she's with now, she's hardly smiling, it's not b/c she's not happy, but b/c she can't display that she's too happy b/c that may be transcribed as something racial. so, you see her looking with a form of defense, sometimes looking relaxed and other times, appearing as if she wants to block any reading of her expression.

I'm sorry but it's NOT about race.

Not bothering to read all that mess. No where in my post did I mention anything about her race.

You try soooo hard to make it about that and that is pitiful and sad.

Next time you quote me, really really respond to my quote, not quote me and go off on some obscure tangent.

It's not about race TO YOU, I can understand that, but her life was about race and I explained it in detail, if you don't want to read it, it's ok with me. I think I've explained girl-world in another thread that has NOTHING to do with race, but girl-world can include racial-social games...and when I see it that way, I'll share my point of view, yours can be different.

Anything to contribute to this thread that deals with Halle Berry and not race?

Would be very welcomed.

Hey Roulette. Long time no see.

Yeah, I've had that second picture of her on my computer for sometime now.

The first one is a new one though. I'll have to save that.

Do you know anything about what's going on in the first picture?

Has Halle said the sex of the baby?

Halle Berry was Opray yesterday: October 2, 2007, and she wants the sex of the baby to be a surprise.

She still doesn't plan on getting married.

She claimed they had been trying to get pregnant for a while now and she kept all of her negative Pregnancy tests in a drawer. Like 34 of them.

Halle's new movie, "THING WE LOST IN THE FIRE" is going to be released in theaters on OCTOBER 26, 2007 so make sure you go see it.

There's already Oscar Buzz concerning Halle's performance in the movie.
