Thats right to a certain extent. The Jedi are not fighting to destroy evil but to limit it to create a balance in the universe they know all to well that they can not stop evil. However stopping the Sith and stopping evil are two completely different things. The Jedi want to keep balance. The Sith want to destroy it. Thats why destroying the Sith not evil but the Sith would create balance in the univere. He has a good point with this, its not real balance but it is balance. And one the Jedi seek to have because a Balance like that would also mean a steady downfall of wars and all that crap. What I think is really strange is the entire prophecy, it should never have happened because there already was balance by the time of Old Repulbic, it dissapeared when Sidious came onto the scene.
