Are you real or are you just a character?

I have found that using the Shakyamunison has had an effect on how I write on this forum. The name means son of Buddha, and there are things I will not write because it just wouldn’t be right. So here is the question: how does your image (the name you chose the image you display and any saying that you have in your signature) influence what you say? Is This really you, or are you playing a character?

I'm more like me here than in real life, actually.

I think my name user name reflects upon my attitude. I can be a really nice person when you get to know me but just don't make me angry. People think of the Hulk as always being angry but he's not always on a rampage. There's times when he is in his Hulk form but is calm and gentle. I think of myself as the Hulk in a way because of that.

I am pretty much me on here, slightly unfettered due to anonymity, but my opinions are mine.

It'S this role thing. You are always 'playing' son/daughter, student, forum user.... In every role you behave differently, adjusted to the situation.

But anyway, 'Jana' is my real name so it doesn't influence me much.

I write so I seem to be older then I actually am...

Yes Jana is quite right...but how did Nutella Spatzi influence you?....

And I think you always play a role....usually one you would like to be and often its just not possible to do that...because it is rather hard to stop ones real self from breaking through and even harder if possible at all to change it....

the SN has nothing to do with the way i act 😬

As for KMC me vs. RL me, i'm pretty much the same

Can't say I really play a part or pretend to be something I'm not. My opinions, views etc. remain basically the same. I fear I have to much self worth to let myself be taken over by a user name...
