I was given life today
At the sacrifice of another's
The souls differ,
But the shell lingers unchanged
Though faint
The lies
The unrealized dreams
The inability to trust
All still remain
From crumbled ruins
I will start anew
Rebuilding what was lost
The journey will be long
My only companions
A journal and the words left in it
Words that I must never forget
Hope is not that far away
