HE DID IT BECAUSE DUMBLEDORE TOLD HIM TO.
I disagree ! Snape is evil and i don't think DD told him too. Did you forget the second chapter ? Besides it said in the book DD only believed Snape because he said he was sorry about James and Lily's death . Typical Dumbledore went and believed him . Snape did not turn sides. The reason he couldn't tell where the HQ of the Order was is because he wasn't the SECRET KEEPER . Snape is pure EVIL , at least that s my opinion .
Why do you think he took the Unbreakable Vow? To cover up for himself. If he didn't, then he would be suspicious, and they would report him to the Dark Lord. Snape warned Dumbledore about Malfory, and that he took the Unforgivable Vow. How else did Dumbledore know about Malfoy's behavior, before Harry said anything to him.

All right, let's pretend he did kill Dumbledore, how much could the Ministry do? If he was to be locked away, he could easily break out, I'm surprised Lucious didn't already...
LoL How do you think Snape would break out of Azkaban? No wand, no animagus form to swim to shore in, hide in, and I would assume they have guards all over the place. So how do you think hed get out?
And I would think Snape and Voldemort wins this. I mean Voldemort can compete with Dumbledore long enough for Snape to come and help him.
