I hate when that happens (and it has happened to me before). You get your render out, you've got your canvas, and you're all set to go before... "Damn... what do I do again?"

leave the area wou want clear bank
save it as a gif and tick the traparency box
tweak around with the setting to get the kb size right
suggestion make one of the setting web.
