Anybody know how the Northern Part of the US is like?

So im flying to Ohio Thursday afternoon.... but i have no idea what its like there..or if its hot or cold there now or what to expect. My friends tell me its pretty flat lands so its definetely different than LA.

Anybody know what that part of the country is like. Do i need to pack warmly or lightly?
