How did you and your friend determine who does and does not deserve to die? You believe that we are all essentially animals, correct?
So death in your view should be the result of natural selection and evolution.
I'm not trying to be offensive, please don't take it as such, however, I'm a bit confused on how one who has beliefs such as yourself can justify death based on human morality, especially since this belief contradicts the concept of "natural selection."
There's a person my family who was physically abused and caused grief for a lot of people. I'll dance on his grave once he goes, but I don't "wish" him dead.
I'm happier seeing him alone in the world, having to live with his actions and knowing his family will never talk to him again. Justice enough for me.
Wishing people dead is NOT the same as actually killing anyone. The idea with this debate is to establish if any of us know people whom me just think deserves to die.

When I turned the question to my friend, he said he thought the world be simply be a better place without these three people.
Offensive? Huh?
Maybe the above clarifies the foundation of premises better??

Thats a good point.. I'm opposed to the death penalty as well, yet this ONE MUTHF*CKA I really really wanna see dead - just to rid the people around him of his spiteful, abusive, offensive and hateful presence.. I cant help it , I honestly despise the guy & would LOVE to see him die a slow horrible, painful death... he's the only person in the world I feel like this toward even remotely..
i think absolutely no one deserves to die. death is such a scary thing when you think about it. that's why i could never be a cop or in the military cuz i could NOT live with myself knowing that i took anothers life away. i took away another mans dreams, hopes, everything. i couldnt do it. and i do not think any one person deserves to have their dreams and hopes taken away. there are bad people. people who deserve to be punished. but not by death.

Well, to certain people it would.
There are certainly a handful people I think that the world would be a better place without -- or at least the lives of myself and my family/friends. Not that I'd actually wish them dead (though in my more enraged moments, I have), but I sure as hell wouldn't be shaken up if they did die.
