Emma and Jean had a history, they couldnt stand each other. Emma did after all attempt to kill Jeans best friend. Cyclops after his posession was in a very vulnerable position. Emma took advanatge of Cyclops. Being a telepath she knew exactly what she had to do. Jean found out from a third party(the stepford cuckoos) that her husband was having an affair with the White Queen her enemy. Jean was a woman scorned and she exacted her revenge as most women would do in a similar situation. If you were betrayed by your wife would you just let it slide and hope for better luck next time? Exactly. Even after Jean had caught the pair Emma still had the audacity to taunt Jean about the situation, she treated it like a game where she had got one over Jean.

Scott deserted his wife and newborn son for a second shot with Jean. It was even definite that he could get back with her yet he abandoned his family and responsibilities just on the hope that he could. Cyclops started an affair with Jean because his needs and desires changed, Jean was no longer fulfilling them, yet instead of communicating he started an affair with Emma Frost, a former enemy of Jean. When Jean died Cyclops feeling sorry for himself and guilty for his actions abandoned Emma and the Xmen. This was a factor in the creation of the Here Comes Tomorrow alternate future. If it wasnt for Jean on a whim telekinetically amputating that future and psionically making Cyclops stick with Emma andthe Xmen he (as Jean foresaw) would have died a lonely man.

DarkC why are you bringing this up again anyway. This thread is about the best woman for Cyclops. I helped in getting off topic but Creshock helped settle the issue. It was over until you started it up again and therfore kept this thread off topic.

Instead of just abandoning his responsibilities he should hav had a heart to heart with Madelyne apologised for letting her down and tried to work out arrangements for Nathan. Jeans embrace with Logan as wrong as it was never lead to anything despite the animal attraction between the two of them, Jean realized she was truly meant for Cyclops so she let Logan know that and she moved on. Instead of talking and explaining to Madelyne about Jean and trying to salvage the mess he was causing by leaving, instead of trying to work something out for the good of his newborn son, Cyclops thought merely about himself and abandoned his wife and child to potentially get back with Jean. Cyclops inability to convey his emotions to Jean, his fear of getting rejected by her because of his new seedier desires and feelings lead to him taking the easy option and starting an affair with Emma as a release for these feelings. Instead of giving him and Jean a chance instead of talking it through with her, instead of trying to work it out, he opted for an affair. Cyclops broke down after Jeans death and admitted he was wrong as she lay dying Jean told him to try and have a relationship with Emma, she told him to make a life for himself because all she ever did was die on him. Such selflessness and nobleness within a relationship was never shown by Cyclops. Cyclops feeling sorry for himself and guilty over what he did went on to abandon Emma and the Xmen. Quentin Quire then said he’d just let the 616 universe die, because she’d done all what was required of her as Phoenix. She mad ehim stay with Emma and the Xmen ensuring he didn’t die a lonely broken man as foreseen. Despite his betrayal she did that for him. Im sorry Blip but theres no comparison. i'm the first to admit that cyclops messed up (cos i'm not perfect either), but jean is as much to blame as anyone...

he asked her to read his mind (like he's been doing since they met), and she refused...

there are only two people in scott's life that he trusts implicitly, jean and the professor... when the professor was lost to cassandra nova and returned, scott was left with a wife who was off galavanting through europe, she offered herself on a plate to logan and he blew her off... not exactly the faithful wife you paint her to be?

Both are to blame in their own way...

And i would really appreciate it GS if you would stop being so insulting to BILB(yes, thats how its spelled), it doesnt do anything but cheapen your argument...

PR i was merely playing the hand that was dealt me. Why havent you said anything about her insulting me? Probably because she shares the same viewpoint as you. I had never uttered a word to this person in my life and she came out and insulted me because she didnt like my post. I would really appreciate if you took a neutral mindset and called for a end to the cattiness on both sides. Well i doubt thats going to happen. Oh well. 🙄

She came on strong and i served it up. If I dished out more than she sent my way thats her problem, she initiated , i had not spoken a word to this girl prior to her firing off her mouth. Yet i am the one you ask to stop being so insulting. Im sorry son but it doesnt work like that.
