I've decide to join these forums because I'm tired of seeing all my favorite actors get slammed by anyone with an opinion. So Ive decided to put MY opinion out there and piss someone ELSE off. 😮
Take Vin Diesal. The man is being slammed because he made a family friendly movie. (The Pacifier) I have been a Vin fan for about 10 years. Ive seen what everyone thought was his worst and I still loved it. I think it was a good idea for him to do a family movie. You do realize don't you, that most of his audience are people my age who have grown up and had families of their own(not me)These are the people that his original fan base started with. 10 years may not seem like a long time to you, but think of the bands that came out 10 years ago, and tell me that they are not still fresh in your minds. A lot of people seem to think that Vin just popped on the scene one day in "Pitch Black" 5 short years ago. Obviously He's been around longer than the 10 years I know about, (he is 38 after all) I personally think he's made some great movies. Here is the point. I don't think its wrong for an actor to change his Genre of acting, I don't think its wrong for others to have opinions. But every once in a while there is a certain perspective to be seen, and some don't see it. So if you don't like Vin Diesal because you think he's a horrible actor, that's fine. Maybe he is Mr. Vin I can write, star, direct, and Produce my own film Diesal, BUT AT LEAST HE'S DOING IT. 😛
