Ikkaku never used his bankai.
Also, why do the fighers have to say "bankai" right after they make it? Why do ANY japanese manga/anime characters always have to say their moves right before, during, or right after the move? And before you say, "it's so the viewer can know the name of the move or when it happens." Lame. It's just a lame-o macho nerdy thing the Japanese do. They think it's cool.

It's unlikely. He only used it against Edorad because he was sure no one else would notice on account of fighting for their lives. Just about every captain we haven't seen in a while is present now. No way Ikkaku would risk getting found out of being captain class. He's determined to stay under Kenpachi.
Not to mention this weird ape dude said he thinks he's got something else to "use" just before Sajin clocked him.
I'd say he never used bankai, but Sajin will. We haven't seen what his bankai can really do.
