I am the Big Bad, and am a Necromancer Dark Knight. Probably a Lich, because Liches are kewl.

My original plan in DnD with Shin was to become a lich and kill the party.

Lol, Lich's are undead men who have tied their intelligence in with their magics to preserve it in their undead form. Their stab at immortality mostly.

So Nembro isn't quite a Lich =p He's not that cool =D

A dark knight for good, a paladin for evil. Makes more sense to me than you might believe ;p

Went back and looked.

Scenario is a Enchanter. Xan, who I forgot about, was a Priest and the Heart. And Neph was a Magician.

And yeah, that was how it initially worked. But they changed sides in the end. 😛

PERHAPS IN A BATTLE I AM NEARLY KILLED BY THE PARTY, AND FEARING FOR MY LIFE I CREATE A PHYLACTERY TO BECOME A LICH.

Even Warhammer fantasy's Liches are Better. That said, Settra the Imperishable is technically a Liche. And the most insanely badass Playable hero they've made =) He's arrogent, powerful, domineering, right up your alley I think, no? =p

The basic principal of a liche in any universe is simply;

Undead
Magically empowered (as opposed to using mortal stamina)
Binding their will to their body with magics.

That's all I meant =p

"Better" in what way? O: Larloch from the DnD Forgotten Realms setting is pretty badass and powerful. He's the most powerful mage in DnD short of actual deities like Boccob, god of all magic. O: Oh, or Vecna, a deity who also happens to be a lich.

But true enough, I guess, the soul jar/phylactery is optional. 😛
