Was that explanation actually given though? Both explanations suck just that Bach's sucks less since it sounds like something people actually could understand instead of some bullcrap Yamamoto made up: cause according to Yama's explanation, anyone who has a bankai w/o a known limit could be completely immune to it, meaning that people like Toshiro shouldn't have had their bankai stolen at all.
