The captains wouldn't die that horribly. Yamamoto would step in and then there's Unohana who could take care of some casualties. Along with that, Hitsugaya's fanbase would just save him again if he got beat up by Aizen again. Still if would be fun to see the captains(not vizards) get simutaneously defeated by Aizen at once.

I'd like to see Shunsui's bankai, after Kubo (damn him for that) had him beat Starrk with only Shikai.

Awesome chapter. I love his reaction when he noticed Shinji. Now Aizen has no choice but to go hollow or release his bankai (unless of course, that was all an illusion, but that would suck).

Theres no way Aizens dead.

He won't die, because he obviously has hollow regen. But, it's pretty cool to see the logical thing happen; even Aizen will have trouble when he's fighting five people at once.

You have to admit though, you kind of expected Aizen to own evryone at the same time. I also found it funny how he called the vizards arrancar knock-offs. I'm surprised Toshiro is still alive; how come he couldn't be the first to go? So will Aizen use bankai or just whip out a hollow mask?

The way Grimmjow moved when he fought Ichigo for the first time looked rather odd don't you think?

that's a good thing because at first I thought that that was the last I'd see of Shinji's shikai. and Aizen's actually taking some damage too, which kinda breaks that godly aura that he is supposed to have (he is the main antagonist and all).

but of course, he still has to bust out his bankai, but so does Shunsui and Ukitake. there's also Yamamoto too. that's when Aizen will most likely bring out a hollow mask and own everyone.

sometimes I wonder if it's even legal for a character to be so powerful in the manga series he/she is part of.

lets see, there are still some people there that have yet to show their bankai.
there is Yamamoto, Unohana (who is supposed to be quite powerful), Kyouraku, and Ukitake, so there is a lot more power to be shown which will be cool to see.

but then again there is still Gin and Aizen who also have not released their bankai's, and they are probably both hollofied...so yeah ichigo is just going to have to lose control again lol

Most of the vizards also have yet to show their bankai. And if any of them have vizard release, they can do that too.

I dont realistically see any captain level character dieing without us seeing their bankai....it makes little sense in terms of plot or fanservice.

Let alone with the main antagonist..

However, I strongly suspect this is all an illusion. This would explain Ichigo's blank look. It's possible that He is watching Aizen slowly slash each captain, as each captain is blankly stairing into space. That would be more ultimate.

I like Aizen's character.

But really? They let let Toshiro deal the critical blow against Aizen? It would have made more sense if Kyouraku or Shinji did it but that's just me.
