Ahh, really like how Namor is written these days. Intelligent, respectable, he's owning everybody verbally and in some cases, physically...though he seems to have got a bit of mean streak, but t's understandable, seeing what he has experienced over the years and, well, how old he is.
It also looks like the black costume is here to stay, thank Neptune for that. 😄

It was such a great book, however that last issue was great execpt for the last 2 pages. 😐

I was thinking, of all the people in the Marvel-verse to be upset after M-Day, Namor is one of them. If he remembers the "House of M Life", that means Namor has lost his parents twice, lost Dorma twice, lost Marrina twice, a lost a child, and while he didn't know her in that life, he also lost Sue.
The mean streak cannot be blamed.
And if he doesn't remember life from the House of M... uhm... ah. Needs more oxygen. 😉

Actually in the House of M universe, Sue never met Namor 😐
The FF never existed, as Johnny never went on the flight, insteed John Jameson did oh and they all died except for Ben who was kept as Doom's slave for years until he tricked Doom and defeated him with Magneto's Aid 😉

I'm saying that once M-Day is over and he's in the 'normal' timeline, if he remembers, he's going to remember Sue died. And thus... I guess delayed mourning? Hopefully, though, he's more upset with the loss of his child.
The poor guy's track record with loved ones is really awful, though.

He's lost more family and friends then all Alternate Universe Spider-Men put together. But does Namor whine about his dead grandfather, mother, father, both wives, cousins etc. in every issue? No! He's a real man! He's not going to protect the world from other killers, he's going to find Nitro and probably put him in the same cell with a power inhibitor and a very, VERY lonely Orka. He will then come back in a week to torture the remains of the killer of his cousin to death.Seriously, the losses of other guys don't even compare.
Daredevil lost his girlfriends to Bullseye? **** that, Namor's first wife suffered a slow death by choking without water, dying in Namor's arms. Did Namor go in depression? No, he hunted Llyra (the killer of his wife) down, and smacked him around. Only thing keeping him from killing her was the fact that she was pregnant. And if that wasn't tragic enough, he was FORCED TO KILL his second wife, when she became the leviathan and threatened the world.
Spider-Man lost his dear Uncle Ben? Cry me a river, Namor lost his grandfather AND mother on the same day, when they died in Earthquake caused by his enemy, Paul Destine. And when he at last found his father, he was killed by Tiger Shark few hours later.
Batman lost his parents? Sure, thats a tragic story, but besides the aforementioned things, Namor was forced to watch the fatal poisoning of Namora as she slowly died in poison given to her by Llyra, AND her clone Namorita, possibly Namor's closest and most loved relative died recently, and Namor needed to watch her blowing up again and again in CNN.
And those are not even counting the death of friends like Jim Hammond, or other family members like his cousin Dara. Only one who comes even close to Namor's losses is Punisher.
...yes. I think I was a bit of drunk.
