Those RPs were the best and will forever be the best.

R.I.P. X-Forum 🙁

DOUBLE POST my bad >.>

On that note i've got another rp brewing so once i work out everything ill post the idea here and see if anyone likes it. Thing is that now that i've seen the quality of rpers go down i don't know if i want to waste the idea.

Anyway to give a brief summary the rp will be trying to answer questions left unanswered on earth. The rp takes place in the near future and starts off with 4 professors that have designed and built a special type of virtual reality machine (think the matrix). Through this machine these 4 professors hope to answer 5 questions. What is Power? What is Intelligence? What is Speed? What is Defense? What is the element of the supernatural?

In the first years of using their A.V.R.S (Augmented Virtual Reality System) they enlisted one student to test it with them. What the AVRS does is it actually unlocks the parts of the brain that were dormant (Apparently we only use 10% of our brain, this system unlocks 80%). Eventually when they spent enough time with the AVRS they somehow began to be able to shift reality. Their hypothesis had worked as 2 professors had fully answered 2 questions inside AVRS. One had become the "Element of Speed" while the other became the "Element of Defense." They were called masters while the other 2 were only experts at their 2 questions. Unfortunetaly the student just happened to be a prodigy as he answered all the questions, and became the "Element of the Supernatural." (He basically unlocked 99% of his mind, which was past the limits of the system). Their student kept the answers to himself and fled this dimension.

Unnatural things have been reported from all over the world from that point, but the professors are powerless to stop him unless they know what he does. The professors began to come up with a plan and before long it all came together. The AVRS was replicated into 3 more units, that each professor kept as they went off on their own. Their mission, given to eachother, was to recruit and train more students hoping that a heroic prodigy(s) hides between the ranks to help them find the answers to the last 2 questions, What is Power and What is Intelligence?

Just how powerful is the human brain? Was it evolution that locked it's potential in place? or a Higher Being that left it to be found? Let's find the answer. Ill explain more if enough people show interest.

P.S. I hope i didn't confuse too many people, although it is 4:00 in the morning. Anyway did anyone like that idea? Well if not ill probably turn it into a story anyways, like i always do.

P.S.S. I should not have said that would be brief lol

So , If I'm understanding correctly, The antagonist is the first prodigy - who has, or rather, ' Is ' the super natural element?

Does that mean, we the players are the protagonists, and will be able to play what, exactly. Scientists? Other Prodigies?

🙂

Student/Prodigies, people who join in the role play will be the students of the Element of Speed. Of course they won't know that right off the bat.

Devil May Cry

Three years have passed since the events of the ps2 game Devil May Cry 2, yet the legend of the demon-slayer, Dante, live on. Demons have come to lie dormant for the past few years, his work growing scarce for a while, until a recent upsurge that has led him to hire two new hands as backup at the DMC office. It seems that someone has risen the Underworld in the hopes of unleashing a plague of demons upon the unsuspecting human world, plunging us into eternal darkness. Now, the world's only hope lies with Dante and his two new "sidekicks" Damien and Lucia (yes, the chick from DMC2) Can they stop the demon world from rising? Or will the human realm become Hell on Earth? Only one thing is for sure... a Devil May Cry...

okay, so if this one is approved, then i need Dante (I call him!) Damien, Lucia, and a few other characters. we'll need demons, bad guys (human) who are pulling for the demons, and some humans that constantly intereact with Dante and company, whether it be for underground information, weapons customization, or to lend a hand in the fight. who's up for it?

Who I've got so far...

Me---Dante

and dont for get

War of the Guilds(No, NOT Guild Wars. Gah.)- A work in progress:

Basic summary thus far;
You have five guilds: The Thieve's Guild, the Assassin's Guild, the Mage's Guild, and the Fighter's Guild.(A Morrowind RP? NO. ._.)
These Guilds are trying to recruit as many members as they can, because looming closely overhead is the threat of an all out war. Bar fights, street fights, cat fights(Meow? ._.), you name it, it's happened. Theives stealing from the Guilds, Assassins killing other Guild Members for no reason, Fighters starting well.. Fights? And mages blowing random shit up.
Fun! ^.^ Now, normally, the Guild Masters would have you go on missions. Fighters would take control of the local vermin in the area, or be sent to devour evil-nessness with their mighty swords and whatnot. Mages would usually go on Pilgramages, to find their inner self, and sometimes would accompany Fighters on their quests. Thieves... They uh... Work with their hands? Last but not least, Assassins take out crime lords, or any unwanted person(s) that attract to much attention to themselves.
Now, the government tends to stay out of this buisness, but now that the Guilds are attracting more and more members, the government is afraid they will be overrun, and so now they have soldiers being trained to take on the threat.

Okay, I have teh powerness, to make a Guild randomly close down, so taht others get more members.(I.E. to many people join one Guild, it goes poof, until others have more members.)
I'll need Five Guild Masters, a General for the army, maybe a few soldiers... And then of course, the guild members.
MAGES: Only have, probably... Four powers, and nothing to Godly.
THIEVES AND ASSASSINS: You guys are obviously sneaky, but you AREN'T totally unnoticeable. YOU WILL be noticed in times of crisis(Masters are usually the only one's not able to be noticed. Times of Crisis= PC About to die(Player Character... Oooh! Parenthesis inside Parenthesis! Exciting.)
WARRIORS/FIGHTERS: Not much to say? You won't have the best sword ever, not the best armor ever... Get over it, you aren't god =D

Alright... As I mentioned, it's a work in progress.
Join much? =D

I'd be interested to be a part of this.. However, want to point out that you mention five guilds but only list four..

Anyway, I'd be interested in being part of the Warriors/Fighters guild..

Mercenaries, really, they go to the highest bidder, they only have a guild because they're so plentiful.

MERCENARIES: Are basically part of their Guild, AND the guild that pays the most. Other Guilds can try to pay them more to get them in their guild, in which case, there will be ALOT of treachery going on there...

Alright... As I mentioned, it's a work in progress.

i'm just gonna post this here which spidervlad wrote to restart the Final Fantasy XI: the Fantasy World, please join

150 Years Later

Location: Heaven, Earth.

"What?! How dare they!" exclaims an Angel in golden armor as he slams his fist down on a spotless white table. The table stretched out what seemed endlessly, with a variety of different Angels of noble ranks sitting around it.

"Is this what treatment we get?! Knives! All other Commanders and Generals! We prepare for war!" the Angel shouted and he stood up.

"I need to talk to God" he added as he stormed out of the room.

A murmur of voices spread through the room.

"But there hasn't been a war for 150 years..."

"Was there not enough bloodshed?"

"Maybe he will rethink..."

Location: Woods of Talûk, Earth

"It seems the time for war has again come. I always knew this time would come, but atleast we should be joyful and thankful for the 150 years of harmony we had..." talked a tall Elf in royal robes. He was sitting on a silver leafed tree, and there were many trees around him. On each of these trees sat many royal figures of the Elven court.

"Heaven will start war. We must prepare for it well... Generals, I will need you to restore our Army back to its condition, and we will need to send diplomats around all the corners of this Earth to form allegiances with factions that could possibly help us..." ended the tall figure and leaped of the tree.

__________________________________________________
__________

War has once again begun as a result of betrayal and deceit. One elven traitor had killed an Angel official, and Heaven was enraged. They asked the Elves to find the one responsible and kill him. Furious at the thought that they could be blamed for this ordeal, the Elven court had kept the messager of the Angels prisoned for some time, before sending him back with threatening messages. Now, both sides have declared war.

The Fantasy Begins, Again.
